The
Marion County Adult & Community Education Center (MCACEC) is located at
601 Locust Avenue, Fairmont, West Virginia. Funded through the West
Virginia State Department of Education and part of the Marion County
Board of Education,
MCACEC serves many
adults throughout the community during the school year. Traditionally an environment to prepare for the GED exam,
the center along with other adult programs throughout the state, has
been transitioning into competency-based, skill-centered programmatic
offerings.

The Marion County
Adult and Community Education Center will establish an environment that
offers high quality educational opportunities while serving a diverse
population with specific needs and learning styles to assist the adult
learner to become proficient at the levels needed to become productive
citizens in the areas of their choice.

The Adult Basic Education Program services are provided by the West Virginia
Department of Education, Division of Technical and Adult Education Services,
Marion County Schools, Marion County Adult and Community Education.
